AgTech at the San Diego Safari Park

This AgX gathering goes behind the scenes at the San Diego Safari Park's Beckman Center, its conservation research facility. Most people don't think of the Safari Park as an ag operation, but its horticulture and seed banking programs support both the Park and fertilizer partnership with San Pasqual Valley.

We'll hear directly from the Safari Park team on their seed banking, horticulture, and San Pasqual fertilizer work, with networking before and after.

IMPORTANT:

Arrive by 8:30 AM — transport to Beckman Center departs at 8:45 AM. Beckman Center sits outside the main gates and zoo admission isn't needed. Free parking will be provided at the Safari Park's main lot.

Too often, technology and agriculture operate in parallel instead of together. This gathering explores what it looks like when founders and farmers actually work side by side — featuring a focused conversation alongside open networking time.

This month's event is hosted by Plantible Foods and presented by event partners Escondido AgX Regional Innovation Hub and Rising Tide Partners.

Plantible Foods grows aquatic plants at scale to produce clean, functional protein — their facility in San Marcos is one of the most innovative food tech operations in the region.

You will get the opportunity to tour of the facility and and learn how Plantible Foods is bringing together tech, food science, and farming right here in San Diego.
