Innovation & Entrepreneurship
Empower the next generation of agricultural innovators and entrepreneurs to imagine what’s possible, build what’s needed, and transform the future of farming.
Escondido AgX Regional Innovation Hub is building an ecosystem that connects agriculture, entrepreneurship, and community-led innovation across our region.
We bring farmers, entrepreneurs, funders, investors, civic partners, educators, and community leaders together to strengthen our local food economy.
We create space for ideas, pilots, and partnerships that move agriculture forward.
Our work is rooted in Escondido’s agricultural history and looks toward the future.
OUR STORY
The City of Escondido is paving the way by championing its farmers through a new initiative led by The Vine Institute. San Diego County's nearly $1.8B agricultural industry is more than just numbers; it's the lifeblood of our region. Yet, urban pressure and a changing climate threaten the agricultural traditions that helped build our community.
Escondido AgX Regional Innovation Hub provides the infrastructure needed to navigate these changes. By bridging traditional farming with emerging technologies, we help heritage crops and new ventures alike thrive in the soil of San Diego County and our southern border region. At Escondido AgX, we provide the infrastructure needed to navigate these changes. By bridging the gap between traditional organic farming and high-information technology, we ensure that heritage crops and new ventures alike can thrive.
